Jane Meppelink Bos, 96, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 21, 2013. She was born on July 26, 1917 to Bert and Jennie Meppelink in Sully, Iowa. She was the oldest of five children. Jane attended a teacher's community college and Calvin College before moving to Churchill, Mont. in 1940 to teach at Manhattan Christian School. She completed her education in 1968 and received her teaching degree from MSU.

Jane married Peter Bos on March 27, 1942. Five children were born to them: Jack, Jennie (Marty) Douma, Betty (Sid) Kamps, Rose (John) Brouwer, and Grace (Jerry) Fisher. Jane enjoyed hiking, traveling, and doing volunteer work in various locations around the country.
Jane is survived by her sister, Wilma Vandevoort; her brother, John Meppelink; her daughters, Jennie, Betty, Rose, and Grace; her grandchildren, Andy (Susan) Douma, Bambi Douma, Tim (Kari) Kamps, Deb (Curt) Smit, Becky (Rick) Luth, Todd (Leah) Brouwer, Beth (Chris) Straatman, Jill Brouwer, and 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son, Jack; parents, Bert and Jennie Meppelink; sisters, Gertrude and Claziena; in-laws, John and Jennie Bos; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Grace Van Dyk, Peter and Agnes Cok, Tom and Alice Veltkamp, Pete and Hannah Alberda, John and Hermina Bos, Jim and Marjorie Veltkamp, and Ben and Martha Assink.
Interment will be held Monday, Feb. 3 at 10:15 a.m. at Churchill Cemetery, with memorial services to follow at 11 a.m. at Manhattan Christian Reformed Church.
