Mary L. Clements, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home in Belgrade after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Pony, Mont. on July 27, 1935 to Lewis and Bertha Patrick. The family moved to Avon when Mary was five where her dad was employed by his brother, William, to haul phosphate from the Luke and Anderson mines to the railroad in Avon.

They lived in California, Oregon and several other places before buying a motor home and full-timing it for four years. They traveled as far east as New Brunswick and down through the New England states and back to Arizona. When it was time to settle down, they chose the "Last Best Place" and bought a home in Belgrade.
