Erma Mae Brenner was born Erma Mae Badgley July 22, 1921 to Earl and Lillie Badgley on the family ranch south of Gallatin Gateway. Erma was raised on the family ranch where she became the top notch cowgirl she was. She loved exploring the back country on horseback with her family and friends, but was happiest working cows and driving them to and from summer pasture.

Erma married the love of her life, Jack Brenner, on May 4, 1936 and the two were blessed with two children. They made their home in the Gallatin Valley most of their lives.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; most of all caring for anyone who needed a little help or encouragement. She loved gardening, sledding in the winter. She was an incredible seamstress and her embroidery work was a work of art which she enjoyed her entire life.

She was a member of the Wilson Bear Creek Homemakers Extension Club, The Little Bear School House Museum and the Ladies Aid. She took her community service very seriously and loved all of her lady friends. She looked forward to the Ladies Aid community play every year. She was quite the entertainer and was always the life of the party.

In her later years her grandkids and great-grandkids kept her busy. There was not a sports event or a social event she would not attend if she could get there.
Erma was a very special lady who lived life to the fullest, laughed often and loved everyone around her. She will be so dearly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Jackie Alverson (Wayne Groen); son, Gary Brenner; grandchildren, Tami Alverson, Wayne Alverson, and Tyler Brenner (Shauna); great-grandchildren, Cameron and Emily Alverson and Devyn and Madison Brenner; sisters, Earlien Love and Margurite Newey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to say "Thank You" to the special friend and the EMT's that were so wonderful in caring for Erma on Tuesday as she went to her resting place. Thank You!

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the Gallatin Gateway Community Center at 11 a.m.
