Donald Brainerd 81, died on November 2, 2012.Don was born in Canton, OH. He relocated his to Manatee in 1975 where he resided until his death.He retired from the Manatee Village Historical Park after 22 years of service. He is survived by Phyllis Brainerd, his wife of 61 years. Also, daughters, Lynn Brainerd of Cleburne, TX, Donna Olsyne, of Celburne, TX. Gail Murphy of Dallas, TX. Diane Maddox of Sarasota, FL and Jill Goldsmith of Parrish, FL. He had 5 grandchildren. Erin and Alex Murphy. Lacey, Hannah and Chad Goldsmith. And one great grandchild, Miles Evans, Jr.Memorial services will be held at Parrish United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 22nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.Donations can be made to Manatee Village Historical Park or Bra-denton Meals on Wheels.
