Leroy D. Davis

Leroy Donald Davis, 90, of Bradenton, passed away October 21, 2013. He is survived by his wife, of over 65 years, Lillie Hitcheay Davis. Born January 29, 1923, in Pennsylvania, he was a son off the late James and Bertha Lyons Davis. Mr. Davis was a United States Army WW II veteran. He worked in construction most of his life, and was a former member of the WWII LST. Survivors also include his daughter, Lillian Bish and husband Clyde, of Palmetto; his son, Leroy D. Davis Jr. and wife Marlene, of Garden City, MI; granddaughters, Darlene Albritton and husband Leonard, of Duette, FL, Deanna Hamrick and husband Mike, of Palmetto; great-granddaughter, Kayla Morrell and husband Joe, of Ocklawaha; great-grandsons, Alan Davis, of Garden City, MI, and Shelby Hamrick, of Palmetto; great-great-grandson, Eli Wyatt, of Ocklawaha, FL; great-great-granddaughters, Danakah "Sissy" Morrell, and Lyla Morrell, of Ocklawaha. The family will receive friends today from 1:30-2:00 pm at Manasota Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Manasota Memorial Park.
