Margaret Riley "Maggie" Riester

Maggie Riester went to her heavenly home on December 6, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Oct. 3, 1958 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, she attended Manatee High School and graduated at age 16 from Manatee Vocational School. In 2002 she received an A.S. degree from Manatee Community College and became a certified paralegal. She worked in Board Records at Manatee Clerk of the Court and most recently was the agenda coordinator for Manatee County Government. During her life she played in many pool leagues and was Florida State 8-Ball Champion five different years. She also competed several times in the World Master's Tournament in Las Vegas, placing as high as third in the world. She attended Woodland Community Church. She is survived by her husband Charlie Riester; mother Glenna "Katie" Riley; sons Dylan(Kimberly) Lusby and their children Ashlyn and Dylan, Jr. and Kirk (Ashley) Lusby; siblings Janet Kerley, Robert Bruce Riley, James "Bo" Riley, Brenda Sue Riester, and Karen Roman; and 12 nephews and nieces. Brown & Sons is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held At Woodland Community Church 9607 SR 70 E, Saturday, Dec. 15 at noon.
