Butch Prince, 63, lost his courageous battle with cancer on November 11, 2013.Butch was born on December 20, 1949 in Dover, NJ to the late Linden Sr. and Peggy Prince. He resided most of his life in Manatee County and graduated from Southeast High School. Butch was a former police officer with the Bradenton Police Department. He also worked many years at Publix Supermarkets and most recently, with Advantage Sales and Marketing. He leaves behind many friends.He is survived by his wife of 23 wonderful years, Carol K Price, two sons, Daniel (Tara) Prince and Jason Prince, two daughters, Debbie (Bill) Fisher and Kim Rodgers. Two sisters, Linda (Bill-brother) Fowler and June (Dave) Bishop. Grandchildren, Wyatt Prince, Amanda Rogers, PV2 Alex Rodgers, Chandler, Chase and Tatumn Fisher. He also leaves behind his loving Aunt, June (Harry) Barker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23rd. at 3:00pm at Harvest United Methodist Church, 14305 Covenant Way, Bradenton, Fl. 34202. Following the service, family will receive friends during a reception held at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Harvest UMC or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL. 34238. "Papa" will be remembered for his loving heart, devotion to his family and adoration for his wife, Carol. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
