Edwin Thomas “Rusty” Moore Jr.

67, left us to join his maker on July 2, 2014 at Sunrise Manor, Hodgenville, KY. He was preceded in death by his mother Muriel Moore, his father Edwin Moore, Sr., nephews Lonny Moore and Brady Moore. Rusty was born in St. Petersburg, FL and was a graduate of Southeast High School. He received his BA in Criminal Science from Florida Atlantic University. Rusty served in Korea and Vietnam as a Captain in the U.S. Army and a former Naples Police Officer. Rusty was a devout Baptist, giving many years of service as a Bus Captain and Sunday School Teacher at Seagate Baptist Church, Naples, FL. He was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Bradenton, FL and Lincoln Trail Baptist Church, Elizabeth-town, KY. He is survived by his siblings Randall Moore, FL, Robyn (Rich) Massotta, FL and Roger (Donna) Moore, KY, sister-in-law Rhonda Moore, nieces and nephews Ashley (Brandon) Goodin, Holly Honeycutt, Monica Allison, Lisa Laupert, Kenny (April) Moore, Lori Massotta, Brian Massotta, Alex Massotta and many great nephews and nieces. We would like to thank Sunrise Manor nurses and staff for all their dedication and support to Rusty and his family. The entire staff went above and beyond all expectations in his care and companionship. A memorial will be held in Kentucky for family and friends.
