Alta Mae (McAtee) Ewers, 92, of Bradenton, passed away on July 8, 2012. She was born on March 28, 1920 in Cutler, Ohio, the beloved daughter of Pearl and Mabel McAtee. In 1947 she married Raymond E. Ewers. They were married for 63 years until Raymond passed away in 2010. In 1957 they moved their family to Bradenton, Florida. There Alta loved caring for her family and being an active member of both the First Church and the Bayshore Church of the Nazarene where she had many lifelong and loving friends. She was a great supporter of the church's youth groups. She also loved to travel with her family. She will be remembered for her love, kindness and devotion to God. Alta is survived by her son, Ralph Ewers (Kathy) of Del Rio, Texas; son, Paul Ewers (Deborah) of Bradenton; daughter, Carol Donoho of Bradenton and 5 precious grandchildren, Bryan Ewers, Bradenton; Janna Ewers, Port Charlotte; Marissa Donoho, Bradenton; Dustin Ewers, MI; Ray Ewers (Allison), MI; one great grandchild, Bryan Ewers, Jr. of Bradenton and three brothers; Donald, Richard (Jeannie) and Dana (Lois) McAtee. Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and brothers Gerald, Dean, Pearl Jr., and Robert McAtee. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, July 13th, at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave, East, Bradenton, Fl 34203. Services will be held Saturday, July 14th at 10:00 AM at Bayshore Church of the Nazarene, 2311 57th Avenue West, Bradenton, Fl 34207. Burial will follow at Manasota Memorial Park.
