formerly Wiedhopf, 86, of Bradenton, FL, died peacefully after a long fight with Alzheimer's Disease. He will be greatly missed. Bert was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 25, 1929 where he attended Cleveland Heights High and Ohio State University. He was a Korean War Veteran, after which he relocated to Los Angeles for 43 years, then to Tampa and to Waterlefe Golf and River Club in Bradenton. His proudest moments, other than his family, were scoring a running touchdown in his High School Championship, seven holes in one and traveling to 40 countries. He worked as a sales representative for ladies fashion firms, including Manhattan Industries, Vera Sportswear and Bobbie Brooks in southern California, retiring in 1992. Bert is survived by his loving wife, Rosalyn, of 48 years, son A.J. Warner (Yanpang) and grandchildren Peyton and Trey. Bert's service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on March 18, 2016 and immediately following a "Remembrance Reception" will be at the Lefe Room at the Waterlefe Golf Club.Donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice.
