91, Bradenton, died peacefully, Monday, May 16, 2016 At Windsor Oaks, Bradenton, FL. She was born in Cordele, GA. She moved to Bradenton, in 1957, from Cincinnati, Ohio. She retired from the Manatee County School system after managing the lunchrooms at Jessie P. Miller, Prine Elementary and Sugg Middle School. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Claire's Fashions of Bradenton, Palmetto and Ellenton, FL. They were faithful members of West Bradenton Baptist Church, where they taught Sunday School for many years. Predeceased by parents, Charlie and Emma (Lane) Cox; husband, Owen W., Sr.; brother, Charlie Cox; sisters, India E. Sweeney, Martha L. Cox, Martha L Cox and Molly M. Edge; great grandson, Brett A. Motlow; survived by children, Margaret C. (Joe) Henry of Bradenton, FL, Pamella R. (Eric) French of Bradenton, FL, Molly K. (Fred) Smith of Bradenton, FL, Emily R. (Dennie) Shepherd of Gainesville, FL, Joan E. (Brad) Hanley of Sarasota, FL, Owen W. (Missy), Jr. of Sarasota, FL, Patricia R. (Mike) Armstrong of Palmetto, FL and Donna E. Rhodes of Bradenton, FL; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren. Visitation 10-11AM with Services to follow at 11AM, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at West Bradenton Baptist Church.
