Clarence (Chuck) M. Hall, Jr of Sarasota, FL, passed away on July 4. Born in Pittsburgh, PA January 21, 1928, he served as a China Marine in WW2 and in the Korean War. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Chuck spent the majority of his career in the computer industry. He was active with the Boy Scouts, served as a mentor with SCORE, and with the Triangle Association of the Deaf in Raleigh, NC. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jean Hall; his children, Jeff (Jane) Hall, Greg (Eleana) Hall, and Suzanne (Mark) Stout; grandchildren, Ashley and Sean Hall, Ben and Sam Hall, and his step-grandson, Ian Stout. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 2:30 pm at First Congregational Church in Sarasota. Burial will be held Monday, July 11 at 10:00 am at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice (TidewellHospice.org) or the Music Program at First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota (FirstPresSarasota.org).
