Dean F. Pettit 80, of Bradenton Passed January 11, 2016. Born in Flint, Michigan Dean spent 18 years as a Master Mechanic at the GM Chevrolet Engine Plant in Flint; and later moved to Bradenton in 1971. Dean worked for over 40 years with Dick Genth as a Engineer and Prototype Designer for Chris Craft, Donzi, and WellCraft, Boats. Dean is Survived by his loving and devoted Wife of 47 Years, Marcia, Son, Glen Pettit, Daughters, MaryBeth (Chris) Kamendot, Susan (Martin) DeWeese, and Tina (George)Philpot. 15 Grandchildren 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. A Brother Gerald, Sisters Lorraine Ledbetter, and Beverly Clayton, Dean was preceded in death by his Children Terry, James, Clifton, Sherrie and Sandra. A Memorial Mass for Dean will be Celebrated on February 13, 2016 1:00 Pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1220 15th Street West, Bradenton. Arrangements by Covell Funeral Home.
