Delwin Leo Willis, 80, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on April 22, 1935 in Terra Ceia, Florida to Noah and Ardella Willis. Delwin enjoyed life and loved fishing, gardening and listening to country gospel music. He was a true nature lover who loved all animals and the outdoors. But, he especially loved spending time with his family.
Delwin is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Yoko Willis, his son Tommy Willis, his daughters, Joyce (Johnny) Carpenter and Linda Willis, his grandchildren, Tiffany (Daniel) Frick, Ashley (Robert) Smith and Dustin Carpenter, his great grandson Mason Frick, his sister Nancy (Bob) Salivant, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Delwin was preceded in death by his parents Noah and Ardella Willis, his brothers Jimmy D, Billy and Baby Raymond Willis.
A Visitation for Delwin will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Kicliter Funeral Home in Palmetto. A Funeral Service Celebrating Delwin's Life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Gillette in Palmetto. Interment will follow in Gillette Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would like all memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Manatee County, 2515 14th St W, Bradenton, Florida 34205 in Delwin's memory.
