Devonna "Dee" C. (Kuntz) Campbell
Passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Sunday October 09, 2016, at Lakeside Assisted Living in Salisbury, MD. She had resided there since June, 2013 having moved from her home in Bradenton, Florida, to be nearer family. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Campbell.
She was born February 17, 1925 in Kokomo, Indiana to Robert L. and Minnie (Henry) Kuntz. In 1952, she married Arthur and in 1960 they moved to the Sarasota-Braden-ton area where Art be-came a founder and president of the Bayshore State Bank in Bayshore Gardens, which eventu-ally became a branch of Bank of America. Dee worked in various businesses and was one of the first female insurance brokers in the State of Florida.
Dee is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Kuntz Bowyer of Kokomo, IN and Marcia Kuntz Costello of Kokomo, IN & Bradenton, FL; her son, Ray Klingensmith and his wife Willa of Cambridge, MD and Bradenton, FL; granddaughters, Amy Cremens and Wyndie Stitt of Charlotte, NC and Wini Roche-Hemelt of Havre de Grace, MD. Dee also leaves 2 sisters-in-law, Patricia Kuntz and Wanda Campbell plus 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Robert Kuntz.
Through the years Dee was active in many civic organizations including the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, the DeSoto Celebration, Crossroads United Methodist Church the Republican Party, and Sara Bay Country Club. She was an avid and accomplished bridge player up until several weeks before her death.
A memorial service will be held at the Crossroads United Methodist Church at a date and time to be announced.
