67, of Terra Ceia Island, Florida passed away March 7th after her courageous battle with cancer. Her husband Frank will always miss D.J., his best friend and love of his life. She was God's angel on earth and now in heaven. D.J. was born on August 28, 1948 in Normal, Illinois. She was valedictorian of her Bronson High School graduation class in Bronson, Michigan and received her bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Toledo with honors. D.J. moved from Lambertville, Michigan with her husband to Terra Ceia Island in 2000. D.J. worked with special needs children in the beginning of her career. She was employed by Owens Coming as a Systems Analyst and later went on to work as a Marketing Manager for three different companies. In the last fifteen years, she was CEO of her own company, The Humanside Inc. alongside her husband, Frank Borbidge. Her copyrighted Safety Process "S.O.S." focused on creating safe behaviors and a workplace culture based on positive reinforcement. Every one of the manufacturing companies that implemented D.J.'s processes achieved "Safety Excellence" awards and continue to do so. D.J. is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Frank Borbidge. She also leaves behind two sisters, Patricia Dirrim, Rae Williams, brother, John Mallory; her devoted close friend, Pat Wilkins; and several nieces and nephews who treasured their Aunt D.J. A celebration of D.J.'s life will be held at 10 am on Saturday April 9th at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 505 26th Street West, Palmetto, FL, followed by a reception at the parish center.
