Edith Irene Gustafson Harden, 83, passed away October 25, 2013, at her home in Ellenton, FL, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 59 years, Ivan D. Harden. Born July 5, 1930, in Hardin, Montana, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Alpha Jones Gustafson. Edith and Ivan were married and lived in Hardin, MT until 1985, when they moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Edith worked alongside Ivan for many years in the family business until they semi-retired in 2005 and moved to Ellenton. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, in Hardin, MT, and was involved in the state level of the Rebekah's. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church of St. Pete. Edith's family recently learned she was a talented artist, finding many of her watercolor nature scenes and still life drawings. Survivors also include her daughter, Nikolina Hansen and her husband Jay of Seneca, SC; two sons: Douglas and his wife Cindy of Ellenton, FL, and Dustan Harden and wife Ronda, of St Petersburg, FL; two brothers, Merle Gustafson and wife Brenda, and Glenn Burton Gustafson and wife Patricia, both of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Brian Harden, John Hansen and wife Sarah Renee, Sarah Marie Hansen Leon and husband Carlos, Brett Harden and wife Nichole, Charlotte Harden, Kara Harden, Jennifer Harden and Kayla Harden, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Manasota Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave. E, Bradenton, FL 34203. In lieu of flowers an honorarium may be sent to Big Horn County Historical Museum, 1163 3rd Street East, Hardin, MT 59034. Manasota Funeral Home is assisting the family.
