Edmund Page, 88, of Sarasota, gently passed away with his wife Vi of 33 years by his side on March 22, 2016. Ed was born in Hamtramck, MI to Edmund and Sophia Piotrowski on October 24, 1927. He was a graduate of Hamtramck High School where he was on the swim team. Ed was a very loving husband and a loving father to one daughter and three sons and a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren. After high school Ed joined the United States Navy for two years where he was an Electricians Mate Third. After leaving the Navy, Ed followed in his father's footsteps and became a Lieutenant in the Hamtramck Fire Department where he served for 20 years, not taking one sick day. While in the fire department Ed started building cabinets in his parents' garage, which became his life's ambition. After expanding several times in Michigan he moved to Sarasota in 1981 and became owner and president of Avon Cabinet Corporation, located in Sarasota, which has expanded three times to date. Ed loved working hard and his moto was always be considerate and fair. Ed loved fishing and playing tennis. He will be dearly missed by family and friends and workers. Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 7 pm on Tues. Mar. 29, 2016 at Palms Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota. Services will be held the following morning at 9:30 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2506 Gulf Gate Dr., Sarasota.
