Ernest Morris, 91, of Anna Maria, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Born in Powderly, Kentucky, but his family moved to Bradenton when he was a baby. He graduated from Bradenton High School in 1943. He served in WWII as a Naval Quartermaster on the USS Culpepper. He loved his country and flew the American flag & Navy flag in his front yard for most of his life. He retired from Miller Trailers. During his retirement, he enjoyed family cookouts and fishing. He is preceded in death by his son Ernie Morris. Survived by his wife of 69 years, Lucile Morris; daughter, Brenda Twiss; grandchildren, Jennifer Cart, Ernie Morris & Gregory Morris; great-grandchildren, BrendaN Cart & Gregory Morris, Jr. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Sarasota National Cemetery.
