Born in 1942 to George Washington and Hazel Wales in San Francisco, California, George began his journey through life. A graduate of the school of hard knocks, George's background was extremely varied. He served his country as a Corpsman in the Navy, became a bartender, a florist, an artist, a businessman and an entrepreneur before finally accepting the honor and responsibilities of being Santa Claus. George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Rae Caso of Ellenton, FL, sons Christopher of North Port, FL, and Shawn of Denver, CO, and beloved dogs, Gwen and Griffin. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 12:00PM, at Groover Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave E., Ellenton, FL 34222.
