84, a resident of Bradenton for the past 41 years, formerly of Apollo, PA passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016. He was born April 3, 1932 in Washington Township, PA to Donald and Alberta Stroup, now deceased. Aside from being both a retired Marine Corp Captain and Lieutenant for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Guy's greatest accomplishments were being a devoted husband and father. In addition to, he was a friend to everyone he met and a true inspiration to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen; four children, Susanne, Guy Jr., Erick, and Lurleen; five grandchildren, Zack, Lindsey, Shelby, Amberleigh, and Haley; as well as four great grandchildren, Brody, Gracie, Cheyenne and Graham. Family will receive friends from 5:00- 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home; 1221 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34203.A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30AM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Saints Peter and Paul The Apostles Catholic Church; 2850 75th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
