Helen A. Barr, 91, of Bradenton FL, passed away on August 5, 2016 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Helen was born August 10, 1924 in Parma Ohio to Clarence and Mary (Esker) Winfield. She was married to George C. Barr on October 18, 1946. She was predeceased by her husband, five brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her seven loving children and their spouses, Roger and Gloria Barr of Orlando FL, Linda and Chuck DeMola of Palm Harbor FL, Charles and Mary Barr of Utica NY, Margaret and Chris Partyka of Jacksonville FL, George and Susan Barr of Sun City Center FL, Helen (Betsy) Meola of Bradenton FL, and Beverly and Chris Brenes of Bradenton FL; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Helen cherished her family and she loved to sing. Three generations of her family gathered by her side singing her favorite songs and hymns until she passed peacefully. She and her beloved husband will be reunited and celebrated by family in a graveside service with military honors for Mr. Barr at Sarasota National Cemetery on the 70th anniversary of their wedding, October 18, 2016 at 1:30 pm.
