Bradenton, Florida died suddenly on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 of natural causes. Born October 22, 1947, in Houston, Texas to Louise and Henry LaFayette Lewis, Jack was known for his keen intelligence, wit and charm, and was a loyal steadfast friend. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Ann Lewis, his sister, Boyce Ann Miller and her two daughters, his son, Richard Cecchetti, wife, Donna, granddaughters, Amber Sarah and Dominique. Jack was deeply loved by his goddaughter, Adrianne Moss Minnich, her husband Scott, and their son, Jack's namesake and grandson, Jack Minnich. Jack was also a surrogate father to his godchildren, Paul Bates, Lisa Bush, and Lori Potter. He will also be greatly missed by his extended family, Frances and Roger Chandler, Virginia and Jack Chaffee and nephews, Christopher, Michael, Justin, and Jordan. Some of Jack's best friends were his dogs and he will be greatly missed by Gaby, as he missed his deceased canine buddies, Rudy, Lillie, Phred, and Zonker. Jack received a BS degree in Finance from the University of Houston and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He was a proud member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Following his education, Jack served his country in the US Army and the US Army Reserves as a finance officer. Jack worked more than 30 years for Chevy Chase Federal Bank in Maryland, retiring in 2005 as a Vice President. A deeply religious and devoted man, Jack has always served his church, most recently as Treasurer and Eucharistic Minister at the Church of the Annunciation in Holmes Beach. Friends are invited to the Church of the Annunciation, 4408 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach, FL on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. for the Funeral Services and a Celebration of Jack's Life at a reception following the Service.
