JAMES GILMORE ROCHE, 74, of Bradenton, died Monday, July 20, 2015, at his residence. The family will receive friends at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held there at 11 a.m. with Reverend Sterling Forrester officiating. Jim Roche was born July 12, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Charlotte Louise Morningstar and William Sylvester Roche, brother of Patricia Roche and Lorelei Roche Jackson. Jim lived in Bradenton since 2012 with previous residences in St. Petersburg and Ocala, FL, and New Albany, OH. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving for 3 years. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Anne Waldhour Roche originally from Savannah, Georgia; two daughters and their spouses, Nancy A. and Michael V. Bassett of Plano, Texas; Elizabeth A. and C. Douglas Goins of Bradenton, Florida; four grandchildren, Zachary James Bassett, Kyle Douglas Goins, Stephen Robert Bassett and Kathryn Elizabeth Goins; two cherished pets, Daisy and Lilly.
