96, Bradenton, died January 21, 2016. Born in Clintonville, WI he moved to Bradenton in 1986 from Glenview, IL. A Veteran of the US Navy during World War II, he was a Lutheran, a life member of the VFW and the American Legion, he was a Master Mason in IL, a Shriner in Sarasota and a member of the Scottish Rite. Predeceased by parents, John and Rose (Hefner) Meinhardt; son, James R. and 1 grandchild; survived by wife of 39 years, Elaine of Bradenton, FL; step-sons, Richard W. (Marcia) Brey of Bradenton, FL and James (Laura) Brey of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Donna (Joseph) Cascino of Ocala, FL; step-daughter, Diane (Bill) Nowak of Grayslake, IL; brother, John of Shawno, WI; daughter-in-law, Barbara Meinhardt of Port St. Lucie, FL; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
