83, of Bradenton, passed away on March 17, 2016 shortly after learning she had cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles. She is survived by all six of her children, Mark, Charlene (Kenneth Cluley), Michael, Lynne, Eric (Saronda) and Joseph; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her sister, Pearl Frost and her uncle, Dominic Rinaldi. Joann worked as the secretary at St. Joseph's School for more than a decade. She then returned to college to earn her RN degree. After graduation, Joann worked for MMH and Dr Carlos Escalante for over 20 years. Joann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She was admired for her compassion and thoughtfulness, her fairness and her superior organizational skills. She had the incredible ability of stepping up to every task and always did so willingly, with love in her heart. Joann always had a kind word and extended a helping hand to others. She was a true caregiver her entire life. Visitation will be held on Tues, March 29, from 6-8pm at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th St W, Bradenton, FL 34207. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wed, March 30, at 9:30am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 505 26th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221. Reception to follow in church hall.
