77, passed into eternity peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the St. Augustine Health and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. Born on July 13, 1938 in Jacksonville, John was the 7th child of William Henry and Thelma Windham McCoy. He is survived by his daughter, Joy, grandchildren, Bliss and Naomi, and 4 sisters as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. His professional life included the Air National Guard, transportation manager of Central Truck Lines in Jacksonville, and a long career in real estate throughout Florida. While residing in Manatee County during the 1990's he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was a strong Pro-life advocate. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by those with whom deep friendships were formed while he was in our community.
