Joseph E. Matthews, 68, of Bradenton, died May 16, 2007.
He was a lifelong resident of Bradenton. He retired after 25 years as a maintenance technician with Tropicana. He was a member of Samoset First Baptist Church. He loved bowling, traveling and just being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, JoAnn Matthews; sons, Robert Reese Matthews, Justin Lee Matthews, William Eric Matthews, all of Bradenton; daughter, Rebecca Ann Suggs; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 21, 10-11a.m., with service to follow at 11a.m., at Samoset First Baptist Church, with Pastor Roland Davis officiating. Burial will be at Braden River Cemetery.
