Born Dec. 12, 1930 and passed away Oct. 09, 2016 was born in Chicago, Illinois to Martin Frieling (deceased) and Dena Van Dahm Frieling (deceased). He is survived by his wife, Jann and his beloved dog "Girlie". Martin or Marty as he preferred to be called, attended Chicago Christian High School and worked in various fields of the automotive industry, first with his brother Jay Frieling's (deceased) company and then with his uncle Jay Van Dahm's company until retirement and mov-ing to Florida. Marty served in the Army as a Military Policeman in Korea. Marty is predeceased by a daughter Carole Frieling Lowry. Survived by three children, Martin Jr. ( Susan), Edward (Judi) and Steven (Brandy). Also survived by three sisters, Eldene Doff (Herman deceased), and Florence VanDyken (Harry deceased) and Karen Wierenga (John deceased). Marty is survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Moe" as they called him. Marty was a member of the American Legion and the
Post 18. Services will be October 17th, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. with Military honors at 12:30PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice or to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, or
