Mildred G. Scherpf, was born the daughter of Leon and Lois Landon I Johnson City, New York of January 15, 1925. Mildred passed comfortably on September 23, 2016 at West Minister Towers. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald A. Scherpf, along with a score of family and friends who adored her. Upon graduating for high school, Mildred began an extensive career in the legal profession after which she and Donald retired in Florida. Some of her work was that of secretary for the Sullivan County judge in Monticello, NY; secretary for the special prosecutor during an organized crime investigation in Utica, N.Y.; secretary for the N.Y. senate; reporting for the Shoram, N.Y. nuclear power plant closing, secretary at the National Elks convention held in New Orleans and worked for a private entity in the court reporting business, to mention a few. Thee family wishes to thank all of those at West Minister Towers who cared for Mildred during her stay inclusive of hospice. The family requests in lieu of gifts, donations be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl 34238 in memory of Mildred Scherpf. A memorial service will be held at Westminster Healthcare Chapel in Bradenton, Fl at the convenience of the family.
