90, left her Earthly home to meet her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 22, 2015. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Born Monarea Claudell Houston, August 21, 1925 in Tatum N. Mexico to John and Ava Allison Houston, Mona became a resident of Palmetto in 1956.
Mona was retired from the Manatee Memorial Hospital EKG Dept., afterward dedicating her life to care giving in her community.
Devoted mother and loving grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, Paula (Robert) Knight, of Arcadia, Sharon (Gary) Jones, Palmetto, and one son, David (Julie) Bozell, of Ocala, ten grandchildren and many great grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ava (Allison) Houston, and her nine siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 10, at 12:00 p.m. at Tatum Ridge Baptist Church with her pastor, Larry Smith officiating. The church is located at 7811 Kennedy Ln. Sarasota, Fl. 34240.
