Pacita S. Guevara, 82, went with the Lord on January 6, 2010 at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton. She was a previous local politician for almost 15 years in her hometown in Trapiche, Oton, Iloilo, Philippines. She lived in Norfolk, Va. from 1983-1998 then moved to Parrish, since then. She is survived by her 10 children (five daughters and five sons): Cecilia G. Somes (Eliseo) Miami, Fla.; Evelyn G. Turalba (Dr. Cornelius) Bradenton; Andres S. Guevara (Clarita) Philippines; Pablo S. Guevara Jr. (Genoveva) Philippines; Nancy G. Dorado (George) Mich.; Edwin S. Guevara (Flordeliza) Mich.; Wayne S. Guevara (Lilibeth) Sydney, Austra-lia; Jerry S. Guevara (Estella) Bradenton; Dr. Vivien S. Guevara, CPT, US Army - Iraq; Pablita G. Farinas (Mark) Parrish, FL; 25 grandchildren and five great-grand-children. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m., Friday, January 8, 2010 with a Memorial Service beginning at 7p.m., at First Baptist Church of Parrish, 12125 71st Street East, P.O. Box 195, Parrish, Florida 34219. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Bradenton at www.tidewell. org and First Baptist Church of Parrish.Covell Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bradenton, Florida is serving the Guevara family.
