Patricia A Gaarder age 77, passed away on August 18, 2016 in Sarasota, FL. She was born in Lawrence, MA in 1939. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1956 and MacIntosh Business School. Pat enlisted in the USAF in December 1957, she was assigned to the 1611th Air Transport Group (MATS) and the 30th Air Transport Squadron in McGuire Air Force Base, NJ. She married Gary Gaarder at St Paul's Methodist Church in 1960. She honorably discharged with rank of Airmen Second Class. Pat's hobbies included knitting, crocheting, watching space launches and visiting the Space Center. She enjoyed the Orlando theme parks; she also traveled the USA in an RV with her husband, Gary. She is preceded in death by her brother, James Waters. Pat is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Gaarder. They had 2 children together, Debra and Scott (Deborah) which gave them their grandchildren which she loved very much; Stephanie, Victoria, Jennifer, Thomas and Matthew and great grandson; Brayden. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Lett.
