Paul, beloved husband of Maryanne Kaemmerlen, passed away peacefully on December 12th at the age of 91 at his home in Holmes Beach, Florida with loving family by his side. He retained his wry sense of humor almost to the end. He went to high school in Hudson, New York, and spent a year at Dartmouth College before entering the Army. He was in the Battle of the Bulge, had 5 battles stars, and was a true member of Tom Brokaw's Greatest Generation. After graduation from Dartmouth College he married and his love of sports and the out of doors led him to become an innkeeper at Mt. Snow, Vermont. He built, owned and ran three separate ski lodges. He was a founding member of the West Dover Fire Department, a school director, and a director of the former Vermont National Bank. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years; three daughters, Susan Jeffery, of Canon City, Colorado, Robin May, of Windham and Marlboro, Vermont, and Laurie Murdock, who, with her husband, recently moved to Holmes Beach, Florida. He has a granddaughter; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Lawrence, of Park Forest, Illinois. He had two brothers who predeceased him. A memorial service will be held in Vermont at a later date.
