passed away on October 26, 2016. Born in Indiana he moved to Bradenton in 1967. He was retired from U. S. Navy & Manatee High School. He was a member of the American Legion Post 24, Manatee County Historical Society & Manatee Genealogical Society. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean and son, Dwight Baither. He leaves behind his daughters Karen Armstrong (Bob) and Alice Ruleman (Dave), Warrensburg, MO, and grandchildren Sarah Ezcurra (Matias), Maui, HI, and Robert Armstrong. A celebration of Roy's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Manatee Village Historical Park, 604 15th St. E., Bradenton, FL 34208, where he served as a guide for many years, are appreciated.
