Thaddeus (Ted) Czerwinski, 86, left this earth peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 2 ,2016. Born August 18,1929 to Joseph and Angeline Czerwinski in Detroit, MI. Ted served his country in the Army in the Korean War. He worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co for 37 years retiring in 1986. He volunteered for the Pittsburg Pirates boosters, Mercy hospital in Grayling, MI and Tidewell Hospice. He held several posts in the American Legion and Korean War Veterans. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years Janet, daughter Ruth Hoffman, son James (Toni), sister-in-law Barbara Naum; 2 granddaughters Sarah and Anne, 2 great granddaughters Shelby and Elizabeth; 3 nieces Carol (Skip) Griffis, Gretchen (Mark) Castellese, Debra Champion (David), and one nephew David (Kathy) Naum and 5 great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice. Known and loved by all, Teddy was certainly a character and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Sunday May 8th, 2016 from 3-7PM at the Covell Funeral Home Chapel 4232 26th Street West Bradenton. A Mass will be Celebrated for Ted on Monday May 9th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bradenton. Friends and Family will MEET at 2:30 PM Monday May 9, at the Sarasota National Cemetery For Graveside Services with full Military Honors Conducted by VFW Post #10141 Arrangements by Covell Funeral Home.
