William Delmar Amerson, 78, of Parrish, passed away in his home on Apr. 28,2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Terra Ceia on March l0, 1935, to parents Bluford and Ollie Amerson. In his early years he proudly served in our United States Navy and fought in the Korean War. On October 24, 1969 he married his wife Judy (Smith). He had a long career as a truck driver, owning his own business, until he decided to retire in 2008. In his free time he enjoyed working on his trucks and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Aside from raising his sons, he and Judy also raised his two granddaughters. Dale is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judy, son Ronnie Amerson, granddaughters Mary Fishco and Samantha Amerson, great grandsons Will Fishco and Oliver Fishco and siblings, Roy Amerson, Alberta Rhode, and Mary Amerson. He was predeceased by his parents Bluford and Ollie Amerson, son Allan Amerson, and sisters Edna Bratton. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
