Have so enjoyed their wonderful fun loving spirit and strong testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ, His Atoning sacrifice and their sure knowledge that familys truly can be together forever. Its the missing them that is so hard right now. And it is hard. Praying that the Saviors healing hand will be upon all your family Valerie. Love you.

We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but in God we put our trust,
In times as difficult as this,
faith is such a must.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

Mr. Ellis was the greatest man of all time. He taught me how to persevere when times got tough, how to go on, and how to just be happy and to be myself. HE WILL NEVER be forgotten, ever. He created a family, and held them together with honesty, love, and open-mindedness. He was my teacher, like a father, and also my best friend. Not a day goes by that I don't shed a tear for his loss. Master Ellis, I love you so much and I will soon see you in heaven one day. With all my love...

Master Ellis was the best teacher I could ever ask for. No matter how busy he was if you ever had a problem, needed someone to vent too he was always there and he opened up to you. He was a great man and always made you feel wanted. He gave us courage and self confidence. Everything he taught me I will carry with me forever and pass on his wisdom and kindness to my family and future family to come. He will be missed but never forgotten because he is always beside me and everyone in spirit. I still remember walking into his class for the first time scared and worried but he just smiled to us and talked to us. When the class put on our uniforms and we bowed into class he put on Mortal Combat, he jumped into fighting stance and mouthed MORTAL COMBAT! then he went into his warmup. I thought now that's a cool teacher and I was fired up ready to go.

We are not promised tomorrow and none of us know how long we will be here. It doesn't matter WHO you are or Where you come from, all that matters is WHAT you do with your life and HOW many lives YOU touch. This life is short and not easy for anyone. A person that lives their life TEACHING and caring for kids is a person who leaves behind NOT an empty life but a life well lived. He is leaving behind his fingerprints on EVERY life he came in contact with. He LOVED all people and treated everyone equally. He was a man of love and integrity. He is a person who had a great calling on his life. He followed that calling and leaves behind no regrets about his purpose in life, but a life dedicated to mentoring others. He leaves behind a legacy.

Master Ellis was one of the best teacher at our school. The day he died I had after school class with him only a few hours before he passed, I regret not saying goodbye to him for I thought 'I will see him tomarow', I was wrong. Master Ellis was a Bright flame in this dark world, but has now been blown out. This school will never be the same. We love you. I wish you could have seen me become a black belt like you always talked about.

The passing away of my friend and mentor Master Ellis came as a shock to me. I can't believe he had to go. He was more than just a teacher- he lived as a man who brought discipline and control, as well as compassion and joy, to himself and everyone he met. Master Ellis made an effort to help everyone, and he encouraged me and all his students, peers, and friends to, too. He will never be forgotten from my life; I'm sure the same is true for many others. We will carry out his legacy.

You have tought us so much, from how to defend ourselves, to keeping our hopes up, to learning about life. Your class was a great release for any anger, and you always took time to help us with our problems. you will be dearly missed. One day, i will return to the TKD room, and place a photo of you on the wall. god rest his soul. We all loved you.

I could not believe it when i got the call. I happened to be in town due to the fact i am getting a divorce and was planning on going to visit you this next week. Maybe i was ment to come home for a reason, so i could be here for this. You have always taught me to stay strong and that i would do great things in this world, but i dont think anyone could ever do what you did. You were more than a teacher to me, you were my dad, my mentor, and my friend. No one will ever take the place you have in my heart. Rest in peace and know that you are loved!

Wow, I guess its probably time to face that this is real. For the last ten years I have known you, talked to you, asked for guidance and loved you. I can still remember being scared to death in your sixth grade history class. Its so funny, your history class is the only history class I learned anything from. You had a way of getting through to people and helping them. One of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I wish my son had the chance to sit in your class. You left us to soon and it was unfair. Lost, but NEVER forgotten. Rest in peace and know you were loved

Some people come and go and we forget about them, but Master Ellis wasn't one of those people. He made a difference in each and every one of our lives. He changed me for the better and taught me how to be a better person. No one will ever be able to replace such an amazing man. I just started going to MSA this year and I didn't take tae-kwon-do, so I didn't really get to know Master Ellis like most everybody else did. However, he would say "Hi," and smile at me if we saw each other in the halls, and I was always hearing about how cool, helpful, friendly, etc. he was. I wish that I could have met him, to really know the man that everyone adored. All I can say is, he will be missed, and definitely not forgotten.

I have grown up all over the world, had many teachers, and there is always one that makes a difference, and is remembered always. One that touches your soul, along with your mind, heart and self worth. Master Ken Ellis, appeared in the carport of my next door neighbor, a wonderful woman, whos life was lit up, and changed. She asked the boys earlier that week about their TKD teacher, and said she was dating him. As he walked over to myself and the boys, his face showed a gentle kindness that let me know, he was special. He cared for every student that crossed his path. He didn't teach them for any gain. He taught them becaused he loved what he did. He wanted everyone to have an opportunity to know a type of peace only unconditional Love of this type could show.

My son,Jonathan Jefferies, was one of the first students to have Master Ellis at MSA. He truly made a difference in his life. 13 yrs later he still considers him one of the best teachers he ever had. My son earned his black belt, but more than that he learned respect, love and self worth. He taught my daughter, Laurie, too, who wants to be a teacher like he was.
Our hearts are wounded...I am sure God has already put Ken to work teaching TKD in heaven:)

I remember joining Master Ellis' Tae Kwon Do class in 8th grade. I was new and shy, and he showed me that I had no reason to be shy and scared, and took the time to introduce me to the class and get me involved. I was only there 2 years but Master Ellis was by far my favorite teacher there. He will be greatly missed.
I still live by his words. "Keep on keeping on. Keep plugging away." strong words to live upon.
My condolences and prayers go out to his family. We all love you Master Ellis! God has accepted a wonderful man into His eternal kingdom. <3

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at home and at MSA. To all of the MSA kids, he would not want you to give up. Finish strong... for him.

you were the most amazing teacher ever and i will miss you so much. I will never forget you Master Ellis you have taught me so much. I just wish i have gotten the chance to tell you how much you meant to me. Between all the talks we had and simple truths you made me a better person and showed me how to live my life better. I will miss you so much. I love you Master Ellis.

Mr. Ellis, you are so incredibly missed. You have left such a long lasting impression on so many students and myself. The summer we painted the globe on your classroom floor has always been such a treasured memory of mine. Just the other day I was sharing that story and was wanting to get a hold of you to talk life.
You sparked in me a desire to learn not only about World History, but about life and the world around me.
I am really going to miss you. Thank you for giving of yourself to all of your students.
All my prayers to your wife, loved ones, and the MSA body. <3

I was a student of Master Ellis 7 years ago and it brings tears to my eyes to hear about this tragedy. Master Ellis helped me through life and family situations more than any other teacher or person ever has. He has inspired me to become a teacher. I haven't talked to him in years but he is in a better place now. Rest in Peace Master Ellis. You will be missed.

We have had students at MSA since it opened in 1998. Master Ellis was there from the beginning, teaching history and caring for our oldest. Most recently he has been tae kwon do teacher to our youngest. He did not just teach the activities of the martial art. He embodied discipline, responsibility, and care for others. His students did not just learn tae kwon do, they learned to be like him. That's a legacy nothing will change. We'll greatly miss Master Ellis but his legacy triumphs over evil.
We pray God's comfort for his family.
