MOUNT JEWETT - Richard A. Arthurs, 54, of 2666 Campbelltown Road, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2014) at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh.
Born March 16, 1959, in Kane, he was a son of the late Stanley and Anna Lou Lilley Arthurs.
Mr. Arthurs resided in Hazel Hurst until his later years, when he moved to the Mount Jewett area. He had been employed at the McKean County Landfill until he became ill.
Survivors include his son, Bailey Arthurs of Mount Jewett; four sisters, Jane (Richard) Armstrong of Lantz Corners, Sherrie (Joe) Uber of Emporium, Sandra (Denny) Davis of Warren and Bonnie (Brian) Sees of Kushequa; four brothers, Walter Arthurs, Robert (Mary) Arthurs, James (Anna) Arthurs, all of Mount Jewett, and Paul (Pam) Arthurs of Hazel Hurst. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was a brother, Jack Arthurs.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hazel Hurst Fire Department.
