Whyte, James  
NEW BETHLEHEM - James C. Whyte, age 71, of Fairmount City and formerly of Bradford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday (June 18, 2015) at the Clarion Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born May 30, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Theodore and Goldie Whyte. He was a 1963 graduate of the Bradford Area High School. He served as a warrant officer for the Pennsylvania National Guard from 1965 to 1987. Mr. Whyte is survived by two sons: James Theodore Whyte of Fairmount City and Cecil Paul (Carrie) Whyte of Emlenton and one grandson, Greyson Andrew Whyte, also of Emlenton. At Mr. Whyte's request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of James C. Whyte to the New Bethlehem VFW Post # 415, 526 Broad Street, New Bethlehem, PA 16242. Online condolences may be sent to Mr. Whyte's family at Arrangements are under the direction of the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service of New Bethlehem.
