Reid Jr., Jim  
Franklin James Reid Jr., 74, of 6 East Ave. passed away Saturday (Aug. 13, 2016). Born Jan. 14, 1942, in Kane, he was a son of the late Gertrude E. Simons Reid and Franklin Reid Sr. On May 26, 1963, he married Barbara A Kucenski Reid, who survives. Jim enlisted in the United States Navy on Jan. 18, 1962, and was honorably discharged on May 7, 1963. He served in the Navy Reserves until Oct. 3, 1968. After returning from the service he worked at Taylor Roofing Company, Reichenbach and Son Salvage, Reid Salvage, and prior to his retirement worked at the American Legion Post #108. Jim was a life member of the American Legion Post #108 where he served as Post Commander for 14 years. In 1995 he was awarded the Post Commander of the Year Award for the local District. After he retired he enjoyed going to flea markets. He was an avid Yankees and Steeler's Fan. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, where he was affectionately known as "Papa". In addition to his wife Barb of 53 years, he is survived by three daughters, Donna (Scott Wilber) Miller, Vicky Reid, and Jamie (Brenton) Irons; two sons, Jim (Dawn) Reid and Dave (Kathy) Reid; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Reid, William Reid, Thomas (Gail) Reid and Michael Reid, all of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a niece. There will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. Cunningham, Edward  
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Edward J. Cunningham, 88, passed away Thursday (Aug. 11, 2016). He was born in Russell City, Pa., on Aug. 25, 1927. He was the son of the late Delvin and Mildred Cunningham. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post 47. He worked as a truck driver for Transport Motor Express for 30 years, and went on to drive truck for Kroger Grocery stores for 14 years, retiring in 1994. He married his wife, Ruth E. Cunningham on Sept. 18, 1948. They were married for 61 years, before she passed away in 2010. Surviving are his children, Linda D. Sheets, Terry J. (Kathy) Cunningham, Bruce E. Cunningham; grandchildren, John (Kim) Cunningham, Ben Cunningham, Matt Cunningham, Katie (John) Hall, Mindy (Chris) Hayes; great-grandchildren, Alexys Hayes, Allysia Hayes, Anthony Hayes, Audryana Hall, Kylie Cunningham, Molly Cunningham, and Breonna Hall. He was preceded in death by brothers, Delvin Cunningham, Norman Cunningham, Kenneth Leilous; and sister, Marion Case. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with Pastor Richard Hartman officiating. Calling one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice.

Fleeger, Kathryn  
KANE - Kathryn Elizabeth Detrick Fleeger, 89, passed away Thursday (Aug. 12, 2016) at the home of her daughter in Mount Jewett. Kathryn was born Oct. 14, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Sophie Hackenberg Detrick. She attended St. Callistus School and graduated from Kane High School in 1944. On May 20, 1944, she married Floyd Fleeger, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1993. Kathryn was employed at various places throughout her life, beginning at her family's farm at a young age. She then worked at Holgate Brothers Co., James DeCamp Tire and Battery for 17 years and was an owner/partner at both Kane Bottling Works and Fleeger TV and Appliance. She was a member of St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church and a former Altar Rosary Society member. Kathryn was a lifetime member of the Mountain Grange #1307, where she served as secretary for 45 years and treasurer for 20 years. She was a member of the McKean County Pomona Grange #53, where she served as secretary for 10 years and treasurer for 30 years, as well as a Pennsylvania State and National Grange member. She was also a member of the Kane Senior Center and the Kinzua Fish and Wildlife Association. Kathryn enjoyed volunteering in numerous capacities. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Toth of Kane and Elizabeth Carpenter of Mount Jewett; grandchildren, Kassia Toth, Kayla Snyder, Allyson (Garrett Baker) Carpenter and Andrew (Jessica Wykoff) Carpenter. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and their families. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Detrick in 1969; and a sister, Margaret Detrick Hallberg in 2015. Kathryn was the last member of her immediate Detrick family. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc. and from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at the gathering space at St. Callistus Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Callistus Cemetery. If desired, friends make make memorial contributions in Kathryn's name to St. Callistus Church, 342 Chase St.; or Pennies from Heaven-Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Central Plant Floor 3, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224-9913. Glover, Milly  
Milly Glover, 74, of 5632 Leonard Run, Limestone, N.Y., passed away Saturday (Aug. 13, 2016) at Wellsville Manor in Wellsville, N.Y. Born on Nov. 26, 1941 in Erie, Colo., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Ann Godeski Grubich. On June 28, 1962 she married James W. Glover, who survives. She was a 1959 graduate of Oak Creek High School in Colorado and attended airline school in Minneapolis, Minn. She worked in Washington, D.C., for a time and then moved to Bradford and worked for Corning Glass Works. While raising her family, she also worked as a teacher's aide through BOCES and managed the Star Lanes bowling alley in Bradford for a few years. She enjoyed bowling, playing euchre, bingo and candy making. She was an avid reader and enjoyed James Patterson novels. She especially enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, attending stock car races and she was an avid New York Yankees fan. In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by three daughters, Michelle (Robert) Perkins of Friendship, N.Y., Lynn (Thomas) Johnson of Hinsdale, N.Y. and Sandy (William) Peterson of Olean, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Nicholas Perkins, Erica Hamlet, Jennifer Herne, Brooke Johnson, Danielle Johnson and Jordan Peterson; two stepgrandchildren, Colette Harrison and Adam Peterson; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael James Glover and a brother, Joe Grubich. Friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Peter Napierkowski, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Church in Salamanca, N.Y., officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Limestone, N.Y.
