Schiappa, Rose  
Rose M. Schiappa, 78, of Lewis Run, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday (April 22, 2015) at Bradford Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 6, 1936, in Bradford, the daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta Palazetti Serafini. On May 3, 1958, in St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, she married Ralph Schiappa, who survives. She was a graduate of St. Bernard School. Mrs. Schiappa enjoyed traveling with her husband to visit relatives. Raising and caring for her family was the most important part of her life. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Ralph Schiappa of Lewis Run, she is also survived by two sons, Nick Schiappa of Bradford and Steve (Brenda) Schiappa Sr. of Bradford; one daughter, Sue Schiappa of Lewis Run; one brother, John Serafini of Delray Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Alan Lentz Jr., Rocco Lentz, Angela DiFonzo, Uriah Schiappa, Stephen Schiappa Jr. and Vince Schiappa; one great-granddaughter, Leah Rose Schiappa; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Rudy Serafini Sr. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Mascho Funeral Home Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Lewis Run, with the Rev. Stephen Collins as celebrant. Burial and committal ceremonies will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc., 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
