Betty Potts

Betty J. Potts, 81, of 26 Garlock Hollow, passed away Sunday (Dec. 9, 2012) at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 18, 1931, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Agnes Burger Tibbits. On July 14, 1951, in Bradford, she married Donald L. Potts, who survives.
Mrs. Potts was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School. She was a member of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Club.
She was a member and past president of the Hannum Home Auxiliary and later the Bradford Ecumenical Home Auxiliary. For many years she helped organize and make crafts for the annual Christmas Sale and Easter Sale held at Penn Bank. She also made crafts for the Crook Farm.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by two children, a son, Kevin (Linda) Potts of Bradford; and a daughter, Linda (Ronald) Sult of Berwick; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Tibbits.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. David Bunnell, pastor of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
