Betty Sevinsky

COUDERSPORT - Betty B. Sevinsky, 82, a resident of Cole Manor, Coudersport, died Monday (Oct. 8, 2012) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.
Born on Sept. 17, 1930, in Kittaning, she was the daughter of Roy O. and Daisy J. Shaffer Burford. On Aug. 1, 1990, at St. Bibiana's in Galeton, she married Thomas J. "Slim" Sevinsky, who died on Jan. 29, 2011.
Betty had resided in the Coudersport area for the last 23 years. She was a graduate of Springfield High School, Springfield, Mo. She had been employed by Bell Telephone, Galeton Productions and had retired from Charles Cole Memorial Hospital after 20 years as an admissions clerk.
She was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters. She was a former member of the Coudersport Golf Club, enjoyed fishing, working with stained glass, artwork, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her stepchildren, Diana (Gary) Buchsen, Gloria (Charles) Richardson, Stephen Sevinsky of Coudersport, Theresa Nix of Palestine, Texas, Marcia (Paul) Fronckowiak of West Seneca, N.Y., Tom (Lynne) Sevinsky of Bealeton, Va., Rita Sevinsky of Ulysses, and Greg (Lori) Sevinsky of Raymond, N.H.; 22 stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; her sister, Nancy (William) Brady of DuBois; a special cousin, Donna (Donald "Woody") Wood of Benezette; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
Friends are invited to Betty's Life Celebration on Friday with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Eulalia Catholic Church of Coudersport, where a Mass will follow with the Rev. James Campbell officiating. Burial will be in St. Eulalia Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fickinger Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the Cole Manor Resident Activity Fund, 101 Maple St., Coudersport, PA 16915.
