LECANTO, Fla. - Dale L. Hadden, 74, of Crystal River, passed away Saturday (Nov. 9, 2013) at Citrus Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 17, 1939, in Olean, N.Y., to Fred and Lila Palmatier Hadden.
Dale moved to Citrus County 17 years ago from Port Allegany, Pa. He was a retired maintenance worker for a glass plant and a U.S. Army
veteran. After retiring, Dale and his wife, Joella, traveled full-time in their pop-up camper for a year and a half, settling in Crystal River 17 years ago. Dale loved traveling, meeting people and life. He was dearly loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survived by his wife, Joella Hadden of Crystal River; five children, Michael Hadden of Port Allegany, Adrian Wagner of Erie, Pa., Christopher (Samantha) Wagner of Wellsville, N.Y., Mathew (Menchie) Wagner of Farmington, N.Y., and Bethany Wagner of Bradford, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and David.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 30 at the VFW
, Route 155, Port Allegany, followed by a luncheon. Burial will follow at Annin Creek Cemetery, Turtlepoint, Pa.
