David J. Pusateri, 30, of Lewis Run, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2013) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born on Sept. 26, 1982, in Olean, N.Y., he was the son of Robert J. Pusateri and Clare A. Schweinberg Pusateri.
He was a 2000 graduate of Bradford Area High School and a 2005 graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., where he received his bachelor's degree in biology.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
David was a volunteer at the STEPS Drop-In-Center, Bradford, for their fundraisers for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
He is survived by his mother, Clare Pusateri of Bradford; father, Robert (Terri) Pusateri of West Seneca, N.Y.; two sisters, Maureen (Patrick) Kuciewski of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Meghan (Anthony) Lama of Lewis Run; maternal grandmother, Margaret C. Schweinberg of Bradford; two stepsisters, Lindsi (Eric) Thompson of Bradford and Kelli (Peter) Vento of Amherst, N.Y.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; and one uncle, John Schweinberg.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
