Della Carter

TULSA, Okla. - A graveside service for Della Lucille Carter, 85, who passed away Sunday (Nov. 18, 2012), will be held at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born in Bradford, Pa., to Thomas Andrew McKittrick and Jenny Mae Disney. She graduated from Bradford High School, Class of 1944.

Della was a loving wife and mother.

She retired as chairman of Berry Carter Co., Plumbing, Heating & AC, and in her early years served as an airline hostess.

She was a member of Sabettes of Saba Grotto Lodge, Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Refrigeration Service Engineers Auxiliary, Plumbing Contractors of Northeast Oklahoma and Elks Lodge. She was also a Cub Scout and Brownie leader.

Della is survived by her sons, James Carter of Rogers, Ark., and Tyler and Robert Carter, both of Tulsa; daughter, Cynthia Carter of Tulsa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Carter; her parents; and five sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard Ave., Tulsa.
