Edward Anderson

KANE - Edward C. Anderson, 70, of 421 N. Tionesta Ave., died Tuesday morning (April 9, 2013) at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he resided.
Born May 19, 1942, in Kane, he was the son of Edward F. and Margaret R. Jones Anderson. On Aug. 5, 1961, in Kane, he married Linda L. Fay, who survives.
Mr. Anderson was the paramedic coordinator for seven years at Elk County General Hospital in Ridgway, then the operator for the Kane Ambulance Service, and he worked at the Kane Community Hospital. He was a paramedic in Saudi Arabia for five years, then was an operator engineer in road construction in the Kane area.
He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane and the Pennsylvania State Paramedics group, and he enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Todd C. Anderson of Kane and Brett E. Anderson of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Michelle F. Anthony of Kane; a sister, Ruth K. Heeter of Kane; plus five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday in the Gathering Space of the St. Callistus Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
