Ellen E. "Red" Keller, 94, a loving mother and grandmother, of 583 West Washington St., passed away Wednesday (April 9, 2014) at her residence.
Born Oct. 14, 1919, in Degolia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Louise O'Neil Steck. On April 8, 1938, in Bradford, she married Harry B. Keller Sr., who died on April 9, 1996.
Mrs. Keller attended Bradford schools. She had worked at Glendorn and then later at Corning Glass for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Bradford Moose Lodge.
She was an avid gardener and loved camping at Red Oak.
Mrs. Keller is survived by a son, Harry (Annie) B. Keller Jr., of Bradford; two grandchildren, Mark Keller and Kate Keller; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley McManigle of Bradford; and three brothers, Richard Steck and Wayne Steck, both of Lewis Run, and Dean Steck of Timbuck.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Edward A. Keller, who died April 28, 1965, and David Keller, who died March 17, 1973; one daughter, Lori Lee Jablonski, who died Dec. 17, 1998; five sisters, Alice Bizzaro, Marian Steinhauser, Mary Lou Gorton, Norma Steck and Donna Roeder; and two brothers, Tom Steck and Rodney "Herk" Steck.
Family will be receiving friends from 11 a.m. to noon Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at noon. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
