Kathryn L Witherow(1919 - 2013)

Kathryn L. Witherow, 93, of 33 Congress St., Bradford, went to be with her Lord on Saturday (May 4, 2013) at her residence.
Born Dec. 10, 1919, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Myrtle V. Roberts Leonard Sr. On July 20, 1940, in Allegany, N.Y., she married Kenneth Foster Witherow, who died Oct. 8, 1991. They were married 51 years.
Mrs. Witherow was a resident of the area most of her life. In 1965, she and her husband moved to Niles, Ohio and then following his death she returned to Bradford in 1992.
She was an active member of the East Bradford Free Methodist Church for many years and then joined the Warren Free Methodist Church while living in Ohio. Upon returning to Bradford, she became active in the First Free Methodist Church of Bradford and was a member there at her death.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Carolyn) Witherow of Sidney, N.Y., and Clyde L. Witherow of Warren; a brother, Clarence Leonard of Bradford; a sister, Beulah Harris of Washington, Pa.; three grandchildren, Shawn Witherow, Christine Witherow and Nathan (Lindsay) Witherow; four great-grandchildren; Cordell Witherow, Luke Witherow, Alison Witherow and Kyle Witherow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Foster Wayne Witherow; two sisters, Luella O. Leonard and Viola Sederburg; and three brothers, Robert, Franklin and William Leonard Jr.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, and again on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the First Free Methodist Church at 18 Boylston St. At 11 a.m., funeral services will be held with the Rev. Robert Brest, pastor, officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
